The recognition of acquired competencies (RAC) in vocational training (VT) is the official identification of educational or para-educational skills with the intention of obtaining a diploma of vocational studies (DVS), an attestation of vocational specialty (AVS) or a transcript or report card from the ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (MELS).

This recognition is based on life and work experience. These experiences can be from training with or without a diploma from an educational establishment, workplace training, competencies and knowledge acquired through work or even volunteering, through hobbies and leisure activities or from anywhere else judged to be pertinent.

These skills and competencies are evaluated and recognized in relation to vocational training programs recognized in Québec.
